First we want to ensure that your old applications and games that are no longer in use are removed.

Open the "Add or Remove Programs" option from your Control Panel.

  • Start > Control Panel
    or
  • Start > Run > Control Panel

Browse and remove any games and applications that you no longer use.



You may leave the components listed below installed.

  • Windows Updates
  • Windows Installer
  • .Net Framework
  • Windows Drivers
  • Virus Protection Software

 

When finished you can close the Add / Remove Programs and control panel window.
